Food Angels is a group of accredited Angel Investors who invest in early-stage food, beverage or food-tech companies in the US.

FoodAngels.co Launched officially at the FundingPost Food Investing Conference in NYC in 2014. This sold out event had a room full of Angel Investors, Venture Capitalists, Accelerators and Entrepreneurs from around the country in traditional food and food technology. Ken is the co-executive director of FoodAngels. He specializes in Cloud Computing, Software-as-a-Service, and Enterprise technologies. He spent more than 10 years immersed in market research and execution of emerging technologies including several years at the private technology think tank, The Research Board, the Gartner Research subdivision. Ken has managed and led initiatives across the full-lifecycle of product development, market research, and business development. Currently Ken is the founder and CEO of the Saucey Sauce Company, a Brooklyn based food startup with an ever growing national distribution including retail chains such as Dean & Deluca, Morton Williams, HEB, and Natural Food Markets. Ken is also a Practice Lead for Virtustream, a Cloud Computing specialist to enterprise customers. Ken has invested in a number of startups including the NY Distilling Company, Kopi Trading Company, and serves as a member of the Local Food Lab, a food startup incubator.
Kate is the co-executive director of FoodAngels. As a Founding Partner of Saucey Sauce, Kate manages operations, sales and marketing. She’s been instrumental in building a national brand for their line of kick-ass Vietnamese sauces. Today Saucey Sauce can be found on the shelves of more than 800 stores – in both US and Europe! Prior to joining the Saucey Sauce team, Kate spent years working at a global healthcare communications agency. Her enthusiasm for high science eventually waned and she decided to pursue her passion for PR and food by founding Red Currant Media, an all-natural food-focused digital marketing agency. Her mission was simple - help change the way America eats by helping amazing brands that use wholesome ingredients succeed.
By working with Saucey Sauce, Kate is able to stay true to her passion and share healthy, dynamic Vietnamese flavors with foodies everywhere!
Joe Rubin is a Founder of FoodAngels.co and Director & Co-Founder of FundingPost.com. He has been introducing entrepreneurs to investors for over 15 years, and organizes VC and Angel Investor Conferences in 23 cities. Joe has also invested in dozens of companies personally and through his fund, including Sticky, Inc. (acq. by Splashtop, Inc.), Senscient, appMobi, Giftworks (acq. by Frontstream Payments), was an investor and on the advisory board of Offermobi (acq. by Moko.mobi), Human Demand (acq. by IgnitionOne) and an advisor to Gozaik (acq. by Monster), Augmate and Waveborn Sunglasses. Joe spends most of his time working with investors, helping early-stage entrepreneurs and speaking at events. He is Mentor to Angel Groups such as 37 Angels, Accel Foods and TopStone Angels. Joe is also a co-Founder of tech startup Crowded.com and Founding Partner of ARC Angel Fund 1 & 2, seed tech funds based in NYC which have invested in, among others: Upnext (acq. by Amazon), Medivo, Sidecar, Yieldmo, Kanvas (acq. by AOL) and Partpic, and is a prior board member of the Crowdfund Intermediary Regulatory Advocates.
